About Stephen123

Well, I am new to this!  My wife and I built our retirement/dream home in 2005.  Like many American's we didn't see the handwriting on the wall.  We built larger than we needed planning to care for our elderly parents, who both live in the area.  We did take care of my 98 year old grandmother here at our home for the last year of her life.

We were both employed and making good money for the area we live in.  My wife had been working for a large ministry for 18 years.  She worked out of the home doing copywrite work.  Labor day weekend, 2009, she recieved a call at 8:30 at night.  Effective immediatly you are unemployed!

We have used all the available savings we had to keep the house payments up.  Had to borrow from my parents for last months payment.  We have had the house up for sale, but the market is so bad.  We  signed 2 contracts in the last 3 month's.  Both fell thru due to financing issues on the part of the buyers.

We just don't know what to do next.  I am looking for any ideas or ways to make the payments.  I know there are many out there who have similar stories.  I would like to find a way to pay off my home and then in turn pay off other people's homes in similar situations.  If a lot of people could send a small amount of money, these homes could all be payed off.  I know it sounds crazy, but there has to be a way to benefit many thru this type of arrangement.

Let me know what you think!

While what you are suggesting sounds great, theoretically, unfortunately, the reality is: I don't think its a possibility.

However, I don't think all hope is lost.

Try NACA - they may be able to help you get on a little more stable ground.
